The quality and type of the olive oil Extravergine Tipico Marchigiano
are determined by various factors, including the variety of olives,
the time of picking the olives, the hand-made
picking, the hand selection in order to maintain the fruit's turgidity
and, finally, the traditional milling methods of pressure extraction.
The numerous chemical and organoliptique tests confirm the exceptional
quality of the Extravergine Tipico Marchigiano oil, which characteristics
are protected by the Consorzio Marche Extravergine.

The Marche region offers a lot to gourmets and wine lovers.
It was here in Montegiorgio that in 1950 Angel Keys -professor of Public
Health at Minnesota's University- started his research of what became
famous as "The Mediterranean Diet". Marche has a long tradition
of bread and pasta making, giving particular care to the quality ingredients,
methods and drying time. Hand-made pastas include cappelletti, ravioli,
lasagne and the special maccheroncini, which are thin threads of pasta
called also capelli d'angelo (angel hair). These are made with durum
wheat and a double quantity of eggs, compared to other egg pastas, which
makes them both delicate and firm (they do not overcook). The most famous
are made at Campofilone and have reached international fame
