A mountainous range that rises in the heart of Italy and reaches 2476m. at Monte Vettore. A territory where magic of nature, history and local culture have contributed to define a unique and unrepeatable reality. Here, in the kingdom of the mythic Sibilla, in 1993 was born the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains (over 70,000 ha) with the aim to safeguard the environment, promote a social-economic development and to favour enjoyment for all in order to create "a Park For Everyone". Wolf, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon and numerous endemic species are the more evident signs of a biologic richness and diversity that, together with the charm of the medieval centres and abbeys at the feet of the range, have contributed to mark an antique and suggestive world where time seems to have stopped to pay homage to such extraordinary beauty |
